Resurfacing Operations Scheduled Next Week on Several State Highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Beginning Sunday, October 29, motorists are advised of the following daytime and nighttime travel restrictions:

Chester County

  • Sunday, October 29, through Wednesday, November 1, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for paving; and
  • Thursday, November 2, and Friday, November 3, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Creek Road between Lewis Mill Road and Route 82 (Manor Road) in West Nantmeal Township for milling.

Delaware County

  • Sunday, October 29, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM and Monday, October 30, through Friday November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Cheyney Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Creek Road in Thornbury and Concord townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
  • Monday, October 30, through Thursday, November 2, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Road between the Delaware State line and Baker Street in Trainer Borough and Lower Chichester Township for milling and base repair;
  • Monday, October 30. Through Friday. November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Victory Avenue between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and the Victory Avenue Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Upper Darby Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving;
  • Monday, October 30. Through Friday. November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Media Line Road between Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving;
  • Monday, October 30, through Friday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Thornton Road between Glen Mills Road and Cheyney Road in Thornbury Township for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
  • Monday, October 30, through Friday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Thornton Road between Concord Road and Glen Mills Road in Thornbury and Concord townships for milling, paving, and utility adjustments;
  • Wednesday, November 1, and Thursday, November 2, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between 15th Street and Bethel Road in City of Chester for milling and base repair; and
  • Thursday, November 2, and Friday, November 3, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on 2nd Street between Penn Street and the 2nd Street bridge over Chester Creek in City of Chester for milling and base repair.

Montgomery County

  • Sunday, October 29, and Monday, October 30, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Berks Road/Potshop Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Township Line Road in Worcester Township and Burnside Avenue between the East Norriton Township line and Main Street in West Norriton Township for base repair; and
  • Thursday, November 2, through Sunday, November 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Berks Road/Potshop Road between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Township Line Road in Worcester Township and Burnside Avenue between the East Norriton Township line and Main Street in West Norriton Township for paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
