King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overhead sign removal will occur at night next week on southbound Interstate 95 approaching the Allegheny Avenue Interchange in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Wednesday, September 13, from Midnight to 5:00 AM, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge (Exit 26) and Allegheny Avenue (Exit 25) interchanges.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel near the work areas. The schedule is weather dependent.
The work is being done under PennDOT's $31.2 million I-95/AF2 project to reconstruct sections of Delaware, Castor, and Allegheny avenues to improve traffic flow between the port area and I-95.
