Traffic Shift Planned on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) Improvement Project in Upper Chichester Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today a traffic shift is planned on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) under the $99.4 million U.S. 322 Section 103 project to reconstruct, widen, and improve travel and safety on a 1.4-mile stretch of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

The traffic shift will reduce U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) to one lane in each direction to allow PennDOT’s contractor to begin Stage 2 of construction. Stage 2 consists of new roadway and structure construction on the south side of U.S. 322, including the bridge over Route 452 (Market Street).

Additionally, the existing long-term travel restrictions on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway), Route 452 (Market Street), and Bethel Avenue will remain in place through 2026 to accommodate roadway widening and improvements.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
