King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that signage and pavement marking installations will occur on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County, under a project to install lane departure improvements to reduce lane departure-related fatal and serious injury crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, December 1, through Friday, December 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) in both directions at the intersection with Plymouth Road.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $3.5 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
