King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing and pavement repair operations are planned on three state highways in Bucks and Philadelphia counties under several ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 413 (Durham Road) between Dark Hollow Road and U.S. 202 in Bedminster, Buckingham, and Plumstead townships, Bucks County, for milling, paving, and utility construction.
- Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on Route 611 (Broad Street) in both directions between Washington Avenue and Oregon Avenue in Philadelphia for pavement repair.
- Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on sections of Kelly Drive between 25th Street and Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia for milling.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
