King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing and pavement repair operations will occur next week on several state highways in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway across the five-county region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Philadelphia
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Chestnut Street between 22nd Street and Broad Street (Route 611) for line painting.
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Walnut Street between Broad Street (Route 611) and 23rd Street for line painting.
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on Penn Square (City Hall) between Market Street and Broad Street (Route 611) for line painting.
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Oregon Avenue between Delaware Avenue and 15th Street for line painting.
Bucks County
- Monday, November 3, through Saturday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between Poquessing Creek and Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) in Bensalem Township for pavement repair.
- Monday, November 3, through Saturday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Knights Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and Poquessing Creek in Bensalem township for pavement repair.
Chester County
- Monday, November 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections Hibernia Road between Wagontown Road and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in West Brandywine Township for paving.
- Monday, November 3, and Tuesday, November 4, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections Hibernia Road between Wagontown Road and U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in West Brandywine Township for paving.
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of Phoenixville Pike between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Saunders Lane in West Goshen and West Whiteland townships for milling, paving, and utility construction.
- Monday, November 3, through Saturday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Marshall Road between Route 282 (Creek Road) and Chalfant Road in Wallace Township for milling, paving, and utility construction.
Delaware County
- Sunday, November 2, through Tuesday, November 4, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Lawrence Road between Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Marple Township for paving.
- Wednesday, November 5, and Thursday, November 6, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Beatty Road between Baltimore Pike and Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Nether Providence and Springfield townships for paving.
- Wednesday, November 5, through Friday, November 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on sections of Township Line Road between Route 452 (Market Street) and Bethel Road in Trainer Borough, City of Chester, and Upper Chichester Township for milling.
Montgomery County
- Monday, November 3, through Friday, November 7, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Brooks Road between South Gulph Road and Croton Road in Upper Merion Township for milling and paving.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
