Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that emergency bridge repair will continue to safely reopen two northbound I-95 ramps in Northeast Philadelphia that were closed earlier today following expansion joint failure.
Motorists are advised that the following two ramps will be closed until the repair work is completed:
During the closure, Aramingo Avenue motorists can use the Castor Avenue ramp or Bridge Street ramp to access northbound I-95. Betsy Ross Bridge motorists can use Richmond Street or Aramingo Avenue.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
