King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted all commercial vehicle restrictions that were in place on all interstates across the Philadelphia region during the latest winter storm.
Tier 3 vehicle restrictions of the commonwealth’s weather event vehicle restriction plan were put into place at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 26, on Interstates 76, 95, 295, 476, and 676.
While vehicle restrictions have been removed, speed limit restrictions remain in place on the following roadways in the region.
- Interstates 76, 95, 295, 476, 676.
- U.S. Routes 1, 30, 202, 422.
- State Routes 63, 100 Spur and 309.
PennDOT is still treating roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.
While PennDOT recommends not traveling during winter storms, motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras.
511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
