King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will continue performing utility construction on Bishop Avenue in Springfield and Upper Darby townships, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Wednesday, October 9, through Monday, December 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Bishop Avenue between Westpark Lane and Secane Road.
- Saturday, October 12, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Bishop Avenue will be closed and detoured between Baltimore Pike and Secane Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Baltimore Avenue, Oak Avenue, and Providence Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
