Road damage from a sinkhole on Main Street between Van Buren Road and PA 33 is being repaired. Work to fill the sinkhole began March 27.
Initially all lanes were anticipated to open March 29, but inclement weather extended the timeline. Then it was estimated all lanes would open by today, but inclement weather has again caused a delay.
The sinkhole has been filled and crews still need to pave the roadway. The revised estimate is for all lanes to be open on Thursday, April 4 or Friday, April 5, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to use caution traveling through the area.
