Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that the newly installed traffic signal at the intersection of Route 2045 (Fairfield Road) and Brushy Ridge Road will be activated during the week of Monday, November 13, 2023.
Traffic Impacts
Fairfield Road will have a flashing yellow light.
- A flashing yellow light means caution.
- Motorists should slow down, look, and proceed through the intersection with care.
Brushy Ridge Road will have a flashing red light.
- The flashing red light has the same meaning as a stop sign.
- Motorists should stop, look both ways, and proceed only after the intersection is clear.
The traffic signal is expected to remain in flashing mode for approximately one week before the signal becomes fully activated after Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
Motorists should slow down, expect changes in traffic control, and drive with caution.
The traffic signal at this intersection is part of a multi-year project that will reconstruct Fairfield Road from the intersection with Lycoming Mall Drive up to the Interstate 180 eastbound off ramp and will replace the structure carrying Lycoming Mall Drive over Bennetts Run. During the 2023 construction season, the contactor is scheduled to complete the rehabilitation of Fairfield Road. The Lycoming Mall Drive structure over Bennetts Run and traffic signal work is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
