Realignment Project Begins Next Week on Route 42 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a roadway realignment project will begin next week at the intersection of Route 42 and Wedgetown Road in Hemlock Township, Columbia County.

On Monday, March 27, the contractor, Don E. Bower, Inc., will begin construction on Route 42 at the intersection with Wedgetown Road. Work includes shoulder widening, construction of a deceleration lane, paving, line painting, and installation of a new traffic signal. Motorists can expect lane restrictions where work is being performed.  Work will be performed during daylight hours.

Work on this project is expected to be completed by the end of April 2023.   Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect travel delays, and drive with caution.
