Line Painting Operations Begin Next Week in North Central PA

Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised that line painting operations will begin next week on various roadways in the following counties: Lycoming, Sullivan, Union, Snyder, Northumberland, Columbia and Montour.

Beginning Sunday, July 28, 2024, crews will be painting lines between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM daily. This project is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather pending.

If motorists encounter a slow-moving operation during this time, it could be line painting. Be patient, stay back, do not drive on the wet paint lines, and do not pass the trucks in the paint train. The paint truck will pull over periodically to allow traffic to pass.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local accounts on X.
