    Embankment Stabilization Project to Continues on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County

    ​Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised an embankment stabilization project continues on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County.

    The week of Monday, June 17, 2024, the contractor, LTT Trucking, LLC, will begin milling and resurfacing Route 87 between Route 973 (south of the Slabtown Bridge) and north of the Loyalsock Hotel in Loyalsockville. Additional work includes miscellaneous drainage work.

    Motorists can expect one lane of traffic to be maintained in each direction with intermittent single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours.

    Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane shifts, and drive with caution through the work zone.

    LTT Trucking, LLC, is the prime contractor for this $1.1 million embankment stabilization project. Work includes stabilization of the existing embankment using a tangent pile wall. The project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2024, weather permitting. The roadway will return to the original alignment when construction is complete.

    Motorist should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution in the area.
