Montoursville, PA – Motorists who travel on Routes 11 southbound, 15 southbound, and 61 northbound in Monroe Township, Snyder County, are advised of traffic delays in Snyder County, due to a Shamokin Dam Borough maintenance project.
Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed near the intersection of Route 11 and Eighth Avenue in Shamokin Dam. Work is expected to be complete by 11:30 AM this morning. As of 10:45 AM, traffic was backed up along Route 15 southbound past Grangers Road, Route 11 southbound at the Route 11/15 split, and Route 61 (Veterans Memorial Bridge) northbound. There may be residual delays throughout mid-day.
Motorists should expect travel delays and lane changes. Motorists are urged to slow down, drive with caution, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
