Bridge Restriction Announced on Three Springs Run Road in Morris Township, Tioga County

Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists in Tioga County that the bridge carrying Three Springs Run Road (Route 3016) over a tributary to Zimmerman Creek in Morris Township, Tioga County, will be restricted to 12 Tons, Except Combinations 20 Tons. The bridge is located approximately 2.5 miles east of Route 287.

The restriction is being made based on a recent inspection indicating that there is deterioration to the steel beams and the bridge cannot carry legal loads safely.

This restriction includes school buses, emergency vehicles, and local-delivery trucks. A detour using Nauvoo Road (Route 3014) and Three Springs Run Road will be in place when the required signs are erected.

The restriction will be in effect once the required signs are erected by a PennDOT maintenance crew.
