8/16/2024 UPDATE: Dreisbach Church Road (Route 2003) is open to traffic.
Starting on Friday, September 6, 2024, through Friday, September 13, 2024, a Department of Transportation maintenance crew will be paving Dreisbach Church Road between Route 45 in Buffalo Township and Route 304 in New Berlin, Union Township, Union County. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging during paving operations. Work will be performed during daylight hours.
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project will begin in next week on Route 2003 (Dreisbach Church Road Road) in Buffalo Township, Union County.
On Monday, June 17, 2024, Dreisbach Church Road will be closed between Route 45 and Pheasant Ridge Road, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew begins removal of the existing metal pipe culvert bridge spanning Beaver Run. Additional work includes the installation of a new precast concrete box culvert, restoring asphalt roadway section, and guide rail installation. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, August 2, 2024, weather permitting.
A detour using Route 45, Route 104, Route 304, and Route 3004 (Red Ridge Road), will be in place for the duration of the project.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
