3:30 PM UPDATE: Rolling Roadblocks Today on I-80 WB/EB in Columbia County

3:30 PM UPDATE:  Rolling roadblocks will take place between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM  in both directions of  Interstate 80 between Exit 236 (Route 487 / Lightstreet) and Exit 232 (Route 42 / Buckhorn), while PPL pulls wires across the roadway. The roadblock is expected to take less than 15 minutes. Motorists can expect slow moving traffic. ​

Montoursville, PA – Motorists who travel on Interstate 80 westbound and eastbound in are advised of rolling roadblocks and a ramp closure that will take place today in Columbia County.​

Ramp Closure

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the Interstate 80 westbound on-ramp from Route 487 will be closed while PPL performs necessary electrical work in the area.

A detour using Route 487 and Route 42 will be in place while the ramp is closed (Red Detour).

Rolling Roadblocks

On Thursday, February 15, 2024, a rolling roadblock will take place on Interstate 80 in both directions between Exit 236 (Route 487 / Lightstreet) and Exit 232 (Route 42 / Buckhorn), while PPL pulls wires across the roadway.  Motorists can expect slowed traffic. The roadblock is expected to take approximately 15 minutes.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution. Work on this project is expected to be completed later today.
