4/3/2025 UPDATE: Work on Route 61 (Veterans Memorial Bridge) has been canceled today due to weather. Work will resume Tuesday, April 8.
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised of lane restrictions next week on the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Route 61) in both directions, in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County.
Monday, March 31, 2025, through Friday, April 4, 2025, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will be repairing and replacing centerline delineators on the Veterans Memorial Bridge. Work includes drilling new holes and installing new bases and delineators. Work will take place between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect the left (passing) lane to be closed when work is being performed. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
