11:30 PM UPDATE: Roads Impacted by Flooding, Downed Trees or Utilities in North Central Pennsylvania

Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised the following roads in the area (listed by county) are closed or have a lane restriction due to flooding, downed trees or utilities. Updates will be sent periodically.

Columbia

  • Route 1013 (Drake Road) between Route 93 (Pine Street) and Whitmire Road in Orange Township, due to downed utilities.
  • Route 2022 (Scotch Valley Road) between Route 2024 (Beaver Valley Road) and Chapel Hill Road in Beaver Township, for downed utilities.
  • (NEW) Route 2018 (Sycamore Drive) between Deer Road and Mainville Drive in Main Township, due to downed utilities.

Lycoming

  • Route 2077 (Beaver Run Road) between Route 2061 (Beaver Lake Road) and Rishel Hollow Road in Penn Township, due to downed utilities.

Montour

  • (NEW) Route 1004 (Arrowhead Road) between Route 54 and PP and L Road in Anthony Township, due to flooding.

Northumberland

  • Route 2019 (Main Street) between Route 61 and Fifth Street in Ranshaw, Coal Township, due to flooding.
  • Route 3016 (Hooflander Road) between Route 3003 (Hooflander Road) and Greenbrier Road in Jordan Township, due to downed utilities.
  • Route 4004 (Mile Post Road) between Mt. Pleasant Road and Mile Post Road in Upper Augusta Township, due to downed utilities.
  • Route 3004 (Point Breeze Road) between Route 125 (Stitzer Road) and Route 2044 (Upper Road) in East Cameron Township, due to downed utilities.
  • Route 1005 (Seagrave Drive) between Route 54 and Springtown Road in Delaware Township, due to flooding.

Sullivan

  • Route 4021 (Churchill Street) between Route 220 and Overton Road in Dushore, due to flooding.
  • Route 2002 (Nordmont Road) between Long Brook Road and Brown Hill Road in Davidson Township, due to flooding.
  • Route 3013 (Muncy Street) between Route 220 and Route 42 (Main Street) in Laporte, for downed utilities.

Union

  •  Route 3003 (Eighth Street) between North Eighth Street and Chestnut Street in Mifflinburg Borough, due to flooding.
  • Route 2005 (Salem Church Road) between Furnace Road and Pheasant Ridge Road in East Buffalo Township, due to flooding.
  • Route 2001 (Beaver Run Road) between Route 192 (Buffalo Road) and Cannon Road in Buffalo Township, due to flooding.
  • Route 3004 (Creek Road) between Shirk Road in Hartley Township and Libby Road in Lewis Township, due to flooding.
  • Route 3003 (Millmont Road) at the intersection with Creek Road in Lewis Township.

PennDOT cautions motorists to never drive through flooded roadways, as it takes just two feet of fast-moving water to float a car. Anyone who drives around barriers intended to close a road can face increased penalties if emergency responders are called to rescue motorists who disregard traffic control signs.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
