Traffic Change Coming to Route 880 Project Near Loganton

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting area drivers to a coming traffic change on Route 880 near Loganton. In late March, a private project just east of Loganton got underway, featuring temporary traffic signals.

The traffic pattern will change on Monday, May 22, when the southbound lane of the project is closed. The temporary traffic signals will then enforce an alternating traffic pattern in the northbound lane. PennDOT expects these signals to be in place through June.

Nicholas Meats is sponsoring the project. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College is the contractor for the box culvert work. Quandel Construction is managing the project.

Motorists are encouraged to "Know Before They Go" by checking conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
