Rehabilitation of a Bridge Over Penns Creek Starts June 8

Centre, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that a bridge rehabilitation project will be taking place along Route 2011 (Penn Street / Coburn Road) in Penn Township, Centre County. The work on this project is set to begin on Monday, June 8, and improve ride quality while extending the service life of the bridge.  

Starting Monday, the contractor will install temporarily traffic signals and construction signs. PennDOT anticipates project completion in early November, but all construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Work scheduled under this contract includes painting and rehabilitation of the existing bridge, paving, structural repairs, concrete repairs, deck repair, guide rail, pavement markings, and miscellaneous construction. Clearwater Construction Inc of Mercer, PA, is the contractor for this $1.3 million project.
