Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing upcoming removal of the railroad tracks within the intersection of Route 2040 (Main Street) and Beeson Avenue in the City of Uniontown, Fayette County.
For the duration of the project – Route 2040 (Main Street) will have alternating single-lane restrictions and Beeson Boulevard will be closed to through traffic. Construction is scheduled from Monday, October 30 until Saturday, November 4 depending on weather and operations.
Main Street will have alternating detours in place.
Eastbound:
- West on West Main Street.
- Right on Pittsburgh Street.
- Right on West/East Peter Street.
- Right on North Gallatin Avenue.
- Right on East Main Street.
Westbound:
- East on East Main Street.
- Right on South Gallatin Avenue.
- Right on East/West South Street.
- Right on Morgantown Street.
- Right on West Main Street.
Crews from Hennessey & Company Inc. will be removing the railroad track facility and replacing the stamped concrete at the intersection.
This notice is being issued as a public service announcement. This is not a PennDOT project.
