Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Washington County Maintenance Manager Brian Malik has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 6. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Boom mowing:
· Route 1033 (Brownsville Road Extension) in Union Township
Brush cutting:
· Route 18 (Prosperity Pike) in Morris, North Franklin, South Franklin and South Strabane townships and the City of Washington
· Route 2005 (Smith Run Road) in Amwell and North Beth townships
· Route 2020 (Plumsock Road) in Amwell, Morris and West Bethlehem townships
· Route 3015 (Cove Road) in North Franklin Township
· Route 3020 (Pikes Peak Road) in Amwell and Morris townships
· Route 3039 (Conger Road) in Morris Township
Crack sealing:
· Route 136 (Beau Street) in South Strabane Township
Inlet repair:
· Route 1002 (East McMurray Road) in Peters Township
Litter removal:
· Interstate 70 in Buffalo, Canton, Donegal and North Franklin townships and the City of Washington
· Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover, Robinson and Smith townships
Patching:
· Various Routes in Washington County
Pipe replacement:
· Route 1010 (Cecil Henderson Road) in Cecil Township
Retaining wall:
· Route 136 (Main Street) in Carroll Township
Rock lining:
· Route 1020 (Taylor Run Road) in Carroll Township
Sweeping:
· Route 22 (William Penn Highway) in Hanover, Robinson and Smith townships
· Interstate 79 in Cecil, Chartiers, North Strabane and South Strabane townships
· Route 1032 (Southpointe Boulevard) in Cecil Township
· Route 1010 (Cecil Henderson Road) in Cecil and Peters townships
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
