Virtual Plans Display Announced for Interstate 79 Waynesburg to Marianna Project in Greene and Washington Counties

Meeting materials and a comment form are now available online

Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to participate in a Virtual Plans Display to review and provide feedback on the Interstate 79 Waynesburg to Marianna Project in Franklin, Washington, and Amwell Townships in Greene and Washington counties.

This project will maintain and improve the condition of the existing pavement and structures including minor safety enhancements.

The purpose of this Virtual Plans Display is to provide information on the Interstate 79 Waynesburg to Marianna Project covering the improvements, impacts, traffic control, and anticipated schedule.

To participate in the Virtual Plans Display visit PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You and select Interstate 79 Waynesburg to Marianna. The materials will be on the website for the duration of the project. The public comment period is Wednesday, December 3 to Wednesday, December 17.

PennDOT has a toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern.  This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways.  The number is 1.800.FIX ROAD (1.800.349.7623). 

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
