Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing single-lane restrictions are scheduled at the intersection of Route 1009 (Morganza Road) and Route 1023 (McClelland Road) in North Strabane Township, Washington County, beginning Monday, November 10.
Single-lane restrictions are expected on both Route 1009 (Morganza Road) and Route 1023 (McClelland Road) through Friday, November 14 to allow crews to install a traffic signal support foundation at the intersection. All work depends on weather and operations.
Bronder Technical Services, Inc. will perform the work as part of a low-cost safety improvement project (LCSIP) on state roads throughout Fayette, Greene, and Washington counties. The overall job includes installing rumble strips, guiderail mounted delineation, ground mounted delineation, and traffic signal work—a $385K infrastructure investment.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
