CORRECTION: Route 18 Over Laughman Run Bridge Replacement in Greene County

Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the closure of a portion of Route 18 (Brown’s Creek Road) between Route 4029 (W&W Railroad Road) and Route 4025 (Iams Station Road) in Morris Township, Greene County, beginning Tuesday, October 14.

Detours will be in place until late-October.

Passenger Vehicle Detour:

  • Northbound Route18:
    • Turn right onto Route 4029 (W and W Railroad Road)
    • Turn left onto Route 4025 (Iams Station Road)
    • Re-enter north Route 18
  • Southbound Route 18:
    • Turn Left onto Route 4025 (Iams Station Road)
    • Turn Right onto Route 4029 (W and W Railroad Road)
    • Re-enter south Route 18

Truck Detour:

  • Northbound Route 18
    • Continue south Route 18 to east Route 21 into Waynesburg
    • Take north I-79 towards Washington
    • Exit at Route 40 (Laboratory Exit)
    • Follow west Route 40
    • Re-enter Route 18 in the City of Washington
  • Southbound Route 18
    • Continue north Route 18 into the City of Washington
    • Take east Route 40 to south I-79 toward Waynesburg
    • Exit onto west Route 21
    • Re-enter Route 18

Crews from C.H. & D Enterprises Inc. will replace the existing structure carrying Route 18 over Laughman Run with a precast concrete box culvert, an infrastructure investment of $1.67 million.

All work depends on weather and operations.

Motorists should allow extra travel time and navigate work zones with caution. Safety is a shared responsibility.
