Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing long-term lane restrictions on Route 119 (George C. Marshall Parkway) in South Union Township, Fayette County, will begin Monday, July 14 weather permitting.
Route 119 traffic will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic in each direction in the following locations:
- Eastbound Route 119
- Between the Walnut Hill Road and Route 43 exits
- Westbound Route 119
- Between the south Route 119/South Route 43/Morgantown Road and Route 21/McClellandtown Road exits
These restrictions will be in place around-the-clock, as needed, through late October for concrete pavement patching work.
All work depends on weather and operational conditions.
This work is part of the pavement preservation project on Route 119 from approximately the Hopwood interchange on Route 40 to the Fayette County Fairgrounds, and all of Route 43 in Fayette County -- an infrastructure investment of $7.78 million. Swank Construction is the prime contractor.
Stay alert and drive cautiously through the work zones—safety is everyone's responsibility.
