Uniontown, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT’s) Engineering District 12, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the public to attend an open-house format Public Plans Display to review and provide feedback on the Donohoe Road and Georges Station Road Intersection Project in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County.
This project will improve the intersection of Route 1026 (Donohoe Road) and Route 1059 (Georges Station Road). The project is needed to provide a transportation solution that addresses deficiencies of the existing intersection and provides additional capacity to safely meet current and future traffic demands for all users.

The in-person Public Plans Display will be held in an open-house, come-and-go format with no formal presentation. Project team members will be available throughout the event to answer questions and gather feedback. Information will be provided on the proposed improvements, potential impacts, preliminary engineering plans, traffic control during construction, and the anticipated design and construction schedule.
For those unable to attend in person, meeting materials will be available on PennDOT’s District 12 website under the Projects Near You section for the duration of the project. A comment form will also be available online, with the public comment period open from September 24 through October 8.
The in-person public plans display location complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is accessible to individuals who have disabilities. The project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats if requested.
