Route 121 Cochran Road Paving Begins Monday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Cochran Road (Route 121) in Scott Township and the Municipality of Mt. Lebanon, Allegheny County will begin Monday, September 18 weather permitting.

Lane restrictions will occur on Cochran Road between Greentree Road and Beverly Road nightly from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. through mid-October for milling and paving operations. Single-lane alternating traffic will occur in the two lane section of the roadway. A single-lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained in the three lane sections.

The prime contractor on this $7.41 million group paving job is Mele & Mele & Sons, Inc.

Improvement work includes milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage upgrades, base repairs, guide rail updates, utility adjustments, pavement markings, and other various construction related activities.
