Westbound Route 2048 William Penn Highway Hall Station Bridge Lane Restriction Begins Monday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a long-term lane restriction on the Route 2048 (William Penn Highway/Business 22) Hall Station Bridge in in Wilkins Township and the Municipality of Monroeville, Allegheny County will begin Monday, November 17 weather permitting.

A long-term single-lane restriction will occur in the westbound direction on the Hall Station Bridge, which carries William Penn Highway over Thompson Run Road beginning at 7:00 AM Monday continuously through Thursday, January 15. Crews will conduct bridge bearing replacement work.

Work on this $23.84 million William Penn Highway (Business Route 22) preservation and rehabilitation project began in March 2023 in Wilkins Township, Churchill Borough, and the Municipality of Monroeville between Huntingdon Drive and Mosside Boulevard and is expected to conclude in early 2026.
