Route 2085 Birmingham Bridge Traffic Shift Saturday in Pittsburgh

Traffic to return to normal configuration

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the normal traffic configuration on the Birmingham Bridge which carries Route 2085 over the Monongahela River in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will be implemented Saturday, September 13 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions and traffic shifts will occur in both directions intermittently on the Birmingham Bridge from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday as crews finalize the implementation of the original traffic configuration on the structure.

Additional traffic restrictions will occur through the end of September on the south end of the bridge as crews conduct median repair work.

Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area.  Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
