Traffic Changes with Turning Restrictions in Place on the Freedom Road Expansion Project in Cranberry Township, Butler County

​Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing multiple no left turn intersections between Haine School Road and Lovi Road (Route 2006) as part of the Freedom Road Expansion Project in Cranberry Township, Butler County.

Effective immediately, there are no left turns permitted from Rolling Road to westbound Freedom Road and from westbound Freedom Road to Rolling Road.  To detour, from Freedom Road, motorists will turn to left onto Parkwood to Rolling Road.  From Rolling Road, motorists will turn right onto Laporte Drive to Freedom Road.

This project is an extension of Freedom Road project which includes new highway and turning lanes, widening, paving, drainage, signal upgrade/replacement, and lighting work with service and access roads, highway realignment and safety improvements and sidewalks. 

Contractor, Gulisek Construction, LLC of Mt. Pleasant, PA will be completing this $18 million project anticipated to be complete in November 2025.
