PennDOT/BPC Announce Upcoming Traffic Switch for I-80 Canoe Creek Bridge Reconstruction in Clarion County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) are announcing  an upcoming change in travel lanes on I-80 westbound in support of the I-80 Canoe Creek Bridges project in Clarion County.

The contractor will implement a major traffic switch on I-80 westbound, as early as Wednesday, December 17, 7:00 AM through 6:00 PM, but may push to the following week depending on weather conditions. Both lanes of existing I-80 westbound traffic will be directed onto a median crossover, over the newly constructed bridge, and through another median crossover back onto existing I-80 westbound. Motorists are reminded to follow all posted signs and use caution while driving through the work zone.

The Canoe Creek Bridges Replacement project includes the total replacement of both the eastbound and westbound Canoe Creek bridges, as well as improved roadway alignment and geometry.
