    Closure Planned Sunday for Pipe Replacement on River Road (Route 3030) in Manor Township, Lancaster County

    Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a closure is planned for this Sunday on a 3-mile resurfacing project on River Road (Route 3030) in Manor Township, Lancaster County. The closure is needed so one of several large pipe installations can be completed.

    Weather permitting, River Road will be closed just south of Anchor Road beginning at 6:00 AM Sunday, April 23. The road is expected to reopen by 6:00 AM Monday, April 24.

    Additional pipe replacements are planned on River Road the weekends of April 28-May 1, and May 5-8. One other pipe replacement has been completed.

    A detour will be in place during the closures using Penn Street (Route 999), Central Manor Road (Route 3017), and Letort Road (Route 3032).

    This project consists of asphalt resurfacing, base repairs, drainage replacement, guiderail updates, line painting, sign updates, and other miscellaneous construction on River Road (Route 3030) from the intersection with Letort Road (Route 3032) to the intersection with Penn Street (Route 999).

    This project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2023.

    Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Harrisburg is the prime contractor on this $2,986,561 project.
