Traffic will be detoured
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge rehabilitation project is set to begin this month on Lime Valley Road (Route 2030) in Strasburg and West Lampeter townships, Lancaster County. The bridge spans Pequea Creek between Pequea Lane and Walnut Run Road.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, May 22. The bridge will be closed, as will Pequea Lane at the intersection with Lime Valley Road. A detour for Lime Valley Road will be in place using Walnut Run Road and Route 222. A detour for Pequea Lane will be in place using Walnut Run Road, Route 222 and Penn Grant Road.
This project consists of structural repairs, resurfacing and updated guiderail and signs.
All work is expected to be completed by November 15, 2023.
Kinsley Construction, Inc., of York, PA, is the contractor on this $938,500 project.
