Road closed, traffic detoured for 11 days starting June 22.
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a highway maintenance crew in Perry County is preparing to replace a large concrete drainage pipe on Route 849 (Creek Road) near Shull Hill Road in Juniata Township.
Weather permitting, prep work will be performed Tuesday through Friday, June 16-19, from approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Initially, there will be single lane and shoulder restrictions under flagging during work hours.
Starting Monday, June 22, the road will be closed for 11 days. A detour will be in place using Markelsville Road (Route 4005), Middle Ridge Road (Route 4008), Apple House Road, and Route 849.
