King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a traffic shift is scheduled next Thursday night on U.S. 1, and road construction is scheduled next week on Rockhill Drive in Bensalem Township under a project to reconstruct, widen, and improve U.S. 1 in Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, October 30, through Thursday, November 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane pattern will be in place on Rockhill Drive in both directions between Old Lincoln Highway and Neshaminy Boulevard for median removal and temporary paving, and
- Thursday, November 2, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a single lane pattern will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions between Highland Avenue (Route 413) and Street Road (Route 132) for a traffic shift.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
PennDOT is reconstructing and widening U.S. 1, improving the interchanges, and constructing new bridges from the Turnpike Interchange in Bensalem Township to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 in Middletown Township under the $113.5 million Section RC2 contract.
