King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater replacements are planned next week on state highways in Bucks, Montgomery, and Chester counties, under a $14.9 million project to improve stormwater management and facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of travel restrictions on Monday, December 18, through Friday, December 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the following locations:
- Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Swartley Road and Orvilla Road in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County and Hilltown Township, Bucks County; and
- Route 29 (Morehall Road) between Atwater Drive and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in East Whiteland Township for stormwater replacement.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
