King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Interstate 95 and Interstate 76 are among state highways scheduled for construction activities in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Philadelphia
- Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 676 between the 17th Street overpass and the 8th Street Interchange for impact attenuator installation;
- Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-76 between the Vare Avenue and City Avenue interchanges for guiderail installation;
- Tuesday, May 2, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between the I-76 and Wissahickon Avenue interchanges for bridge inspection; and
- Friday, May 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a partial lane closure is scheduled on the northbound I-95 ramp to Broad Street (Route 611) for bridge inspection.
- Friday, May 5, through Friday, May 12, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic short term lane closure is scheduled at the Brown Avenue and Par Avenue Intersection in Bensalem Township for ADA curb installation.
Chester County
- Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between the U.S. 1 (Kennett- Oxford Bypass Interchange and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for shoulder cutting.
Delaware County
- Monday, May 1, through Friday, May 5, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 476 between the I-76 and the MacDade Boulevard interchanges in Ridley, Nether Providence, Springfield, Marple, Haverford, and Radnor townships for guiderail installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
