Construction Activities Scheduled on I-95 and Other State Highways in Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on Interstate 95 and other state highways in Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Monday, June 26, through Thursday, June 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Enterprise Avenue and the Route 611 (Broad Street) interchanges for bridge inspection.

Delaware County

  • Monday, June 26, through Wednesday, June 28, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 476 between the U.S. 1 and the Route 3 interchanges in Marple and Haverford townships for guiderail repair.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, June 26, through Friday, July 7, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Old Forty Foot Road between Rittenhouse Road and Sumneytown Pike in Towamencin Township for saw cutting;
  • Monday, June 26, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Haldeman Road between Bergeys Mill Road and Lederach Road in Lower Salford Township for saw cutting;
  • Monday, June 26, through Friday, July 7, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Susquehanna Road between Westmont Avenue and Easton Road in Abington Township for pipe replacement;
  • Tuesday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the U.S. 202 and the Mall Boulevard interchanges in Upper Merion Township for bridge inspection; and
  • Tuesday, June 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on the northbound U.S. 202 ramp to westbound I-76 in Upper Merion Township for bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
