Dunmore, PA – PennDOT invites small businesses to join us for a "Road to Opportunity" event sponsored by PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Department of General Services' Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion, and Small Business Opportunities. The event will be held on January 18th, 2024 at PennDOT District 4 Office, 55 Keystone Industrial Park, Dunmore beginning with 8:30 AM registration and a 9:00 AM start.
This event will be a hands-on workshop to help vendors get registered to do business with PennDOT and DGS, it will feature opportunities for collaboration, discussion, and interaction between PennDOT, the Commonwealth of PA Bureau of Procurement, and the small business vendor community. Our goal is to help small businesses gain a better understanding of the procurement process; how to identify, prepare, and respond to bidding opportunities; and share resources to enable small businesses to make informed decisions regarding Commonwealth of PA contracting.
A prerequisite for accessing the information is registering the organization for a vendor number through the PA Supplier Portal. To register using Edge, click this link: Vendor Registration Page "WELCOME TO THE PENNSYLVANIA SUPPLIER PORTAL" Click "Supplier Registration" along the left-hand margin. Input the nine (9) digit Tax ID Number-"Next". Complete 4 steps for registering and receiving the six (6) digit vendor number. The Vendor Registration Guide is attached for step-by-step instructions.
It is recommended to register as soon as possible to take advantage of all the hands-on tools that will be reviewed at the workshop.
