9/25/2023 UPDATE: Work on this project will be extended through Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Motorists can expect Route 4012 (Snydertown Road) to be closed between Route 4005 (Main Street) in Snydertown Borough and Route 2007 (Short Road) in Shamokin Township, Northumberland County. Work will be performed during daylight hours.
Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a portion of Route 4012 (Snydertown Road) will be closed in Upper Augusta and Shamokin townships, Northumberland County, for bridge maintenance.
Monday, September 18, 2023, through Friday, September 22, 2023, Snydertown Road will be closed between Route 4005 (Main Street) in Snydertown Borough and Route 2007 (Short Road) in Shamokin Township, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew performs maintenance on a bridge.
A detour using Short Road, Route 2010 (Shamrock Road), Route 61, and Main Street, will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours. The roadway will remain closed during the overnight hours of Monday, September 18, 2023, so that material can cure.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
