    Bridge Washing Activities this Week in Allegheny County

    Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing daylight bridge washing activities in Allegheny County will occur Tuesday, October 31 through Thursday, November 2 weather permitting.

    Bridge washing operations requiring single-lane restrictions will occur from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday in the following locations: 

    • Route 2073 Allegheny River Boulevard over Plum Creek between Plum Street in Oakmont Borough and Seldon Avenue in Verona Borough

    • Route 2075 Logans Ferry Road over Pucketa Creek between Greensburg Road in the City of New Kensington and Columbia Road in Plum Borough

    Crews from Green Acres Contracting will conduct the bridge washing work.

    Motorists should allow extra time if using the bridges.

    Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

    511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
