Employees from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) facility in Erie County will perform nighttime work in two locations starting next week.
Milling and paving will start the evening of August 10, 2025, on Route 19 (Peach Street) from Oliver Road (Route 4008) to Robison Road (Route 4024) in Summit Township.
Once that work is complete, crews will do milling and paving on the Bayfront Connector (Route 290) from Route 5 (12th Street) to Buffalo Street in the City of Erie.
Work will be done predominately between the hours of 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM and take approximately one week to complete.
The work will require lane restrictions. Drivers should be alert for changing traffic patterns and traffic controlled by flaggers.
PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
