One month closure; traffic to be detoured
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge preservation project will close the Route 216 (Blooming Grove Road) bridge spanning Lake Marburg in Penn and West Manheim townships, York County.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, May 4, and continue through Thursday, June 4.
A one-month detour will be in place using Grandview Road (Route 3068), Black Rock Road (Route 3070), Hobart Road (Route 3058) and Blue Hill Road (Route 3037).
Work under this contract consists of replacing the bridge deck joints, repairing all deck deterioration, providing a new deck wearing surface, and other miscellaneous construction.
J.D. Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA, is the contractor on this $507,763 bridge preservation project.
