King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Interstate 95 is among state highways scheduled for construction activities in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Philadelphia
- Monday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the westbound Interstate 76 and the Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges for bridge inspection; and
- Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 3O00 PM, a periodic right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on the 34th Street (University Avenue) Bridge between Grays Ferry Avenue and University Avenue for bridge inspection.
Montgomery County
- Monday, April 24, through mid-May, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Mclean Station Road and Washington Lane in Marlborough Township for storm water management; and
- Monday, April 24, through mid-May, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Cross Road between Spencer Road and Tyson Road in Skippack Township for storm water management.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
