I-76 Among State Highways Scheduled for Construction Activities Next Week in Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Interstate 76 is among state highways scheduled for construction activities in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Chester County

  • Monday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Foster Road between Bodine Road and Rapps Run Drive in Charlestown Township for roadway repair;
  • Tuesday, April 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Reeds Road between Delaney Drive and Hopewell Road in East Brandywine Township for roadway repair;
  • Wednesday, April 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Creek Road between Chestnut Tree Road and Lewis Mills Rd. in West Nantmeal Township for asphalt reconstruction;
  • Thursday, April 13, and Friday, April 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Brandywine Drive between Telegraph Road and Chestnut Hollow Lane in Newlin and West Bradford townships for asphalt reconstruction; and
  • Friday, April 14, and Monday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lance closure is scheduled on St. Peters Road between Harmonyville Road and Wells Road in North Coventry and Warwick townships for inlet repair.

Delaware County

  • Friday, April 14, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 320 (Chester Road) between Rutgers Avenue and College Avenue in Swarthmore Borough for overhead bridge inspection.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, April 10, and Tuesday, April 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 Pm, periodic right lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges in Upper Pottsgrove Township for bridge inspection; and
  • Wednesday, April 12, and Thursday, April 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-76 between the Belmont Avenue/Green Lane and I-476 interchanges in Lower Merion Township and West Conshohocken Borough for bridge inspection.

Philadelphia

  • Friday, April 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on the Betsy Ross Bridge ramp to northbound I-95 for bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
