Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project on Route 522 will continue in Spring Township, Snyder County.
On Thursday, June 13, 2024, Route 522 traffic will be shifted to the temporary roadway, while the contractor Redrock Construction, Inc., begins demolition of the existing bridge spanning Mitchell Run. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect changes in traffic patterns, and drive with caution.
Redrock Construction, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1.6 million bridge replacement project. Work on this project includes construction of a temporary roadway, removal of the existing structure spanning Mitchell Run, replacement with a single span spread box beam concrete bridge, paving, approach work, line painting, and guide rail upgrade. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by October 2024, weather permitting.
