Weight Restriction Announced for Laning Creek Road in Bradford County

Montoursville, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists in Bradford County that Laning Creek Road (Route 1033) will be posted with a permanent, year-round, 10-ton weight restriction in Wysox and Sheshequin townships.

A 10-ton weight limit will be placed on Laning Creek Road between Shores Hill Road (Route 1035) Wysox Township and James Street (Route 1041) in Sheshequin Township. The posting is being made based on a traffic-and-engineering study indicating that this highway may be damaged by vehicles that exceed the restriction.

School buses, emergency vehicles and local-delivery trucks are exempted from the postings.
